There are over 20 million Americans suffering from a group of chronic disabling disorders including ME/CFS, neuropsychiatric disorders, PANS/PANDAS, chronic Lyme, fibromyalgia, and even long-haul COVID-19.
The foundation's mission is to help better understand, diagnose, treat, and ultimately prevent the progression of these diseases. Conventional medicine has been treating diseases across the board from chronic pain to depression, insomnia to autoimmune conditions and everything in-between as standalone diseases, when in actuality, they are all symptoms of an underlying neuroinflammatory disease. The number of people being properly diagnosed is growing by the day, as we make medical advancements in understanding the complexity of this disease. But we still have a long way to go and are in need of better diagnostic and treatment protocols for these patients.
